
What is yoga? Yoga is a combination of deep stretching, combined with deep breathing which together help to energise and de-stress the body.
The word Yoga comes from the Sanskrit root yuj meaning to bind or yoke. Yoga is about unity of body, mind, and spirit. Practise of asanas (postures) will help you to build and increase core body strength. Pranayama, breathing techniques, has a unique way of preparing the body for deep relaxation and meditation.
Yoga concentrates on alignment of the body and harmonizing movement with breath. These classes are suitable for all ages and levels of ability. Beginners are welcome. Simply turn up wearing suitable clothing and bringing a sense of humour.
Both classes are drop in.
